• Mission

Cytomics Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of small molecules controlling protein turnover, to treat serious human diseases.

• Overview

The company was founded in April 2000 by Dr. Dominique Thomas (Principal Investigator at the CNRS Centre for Molecular Genetics, Gif-sur-Yvette) and Dr. Richard Benarous (Chairman of the Infectious Diseases Department at the INSERM Cochin Institute, Paris), both renowned specialists in the field of protein degradation.

The protein turnover regulation approach of Cytomics Pharmaceuticals is enabled by a solid foundation of biochemistry and molecular biology. Based on results from ten years of academic research, Cytomics Pharmaceuticals has developed UbiScreen, an innovative high-throughput screening technology, dedicated to the discovery of novel therapeutics that control the turnover of target proteins and treat serious diseases more efficiently that the existing drugs.

The first R&D programs at Cytomics Pharmaceuticals aim at the development of new generation drugs to treat inflammatory diseases and cancer and nosocomial fungal infections.

As of to date, Cytomics Pharmaceuticals has raised a total of 13 million euros in two financing rounds. The company hires 16 employees, including 7 with a Ph.D. degree.
